Porn legend Jenna Jameson may have just made the unlikeliest - and least helpful - endorsement of the 2012 campaign season.
The adult-entertainment pioneer exposed her political preference for Mitt Romney Thursday night while sipping champagne in the VIP room of a San Francisco gentlemen's club.
"I'm very looking forward to a Republican being back in office," Jameson told a KCBS-TV reporter, champagne in hand. "When you're rich, you want a Republican in office."
But don't expect the star of "I Dream of Jenna" and "Zombie Strippers" to make an appearance at the Republican National Convention after that nod.
Family values aside, Romney has been trying to fight President Obama's claims that his policies will boost the rich at the expense of the middle-class.
Jameson's political leanings appear to have changed since 2007, when she said during an interview with PR.com that Democrats are better for the porn industry than Republicans.
"The Clinton administration was the best years for the adult industry and I wish that Clinton would run again. I would love to have him back in office," she said at the time. "I would love to have Al Gore in office. When Republicans are in office, the problem is, a lot of times they try to put their crosshairs on the adult industry, to make a point. It's sad, when there are so many different things that are going on in the world: war, and people are dying of genocide."
Jameson is not the only porn star to be getting political this campaign season.
Ron Jeremy - who was named the No. 1 Porn Star Of All Time by Adult Video News - recently told the Boston Herald that while Romney is a "good man" and an "amazing father," he'll be casting his vote for President Obama come November.
